Spinning - Wool to Yarn

  • I learned to spin my own yarn in 2006.  Shannon of Kenleigh Acres got me hooked on spinning.  I have a Babes Starter Wheel and started with Shetland roving that I got at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Show.  I have already started looking at wooden wheels, ack!
  • I found a wonderful source for Shetland wool from Susan Calunod of Malia Shetlands in Monroe, Oregon.  The next step is shearing my own Jacob sheep for spinning.
  • Now that I know how to spin I can start knitting and crocheting items.
  • Below are pictures of my yarn.
